Ahhh....the Sunday Roast. A noble tradition probably started in the 50's when moms had time to cook, clean, raise kids, do their nails, wash clothes, build tree houses, work on world peace, etc. I recently bought a chuck roast the other day and have no idea what to do with it. I bought two actually, one for me and one for my dad. He got to work right away on his and the result was a delicious, melt in your mouth roast with gravy that has to be its own food group. Mine is still in the freezer waiting on inspiration or the expiration date to come up. I hate to admit it but I am a little intimidated by this hunk of meat! Which is crazy because I have had bigger (hahaha), but apparently size doesn't matter(had to go there). I think I want to channel those 50's moms with the hair and the heels and the know how to bust out a roast with all the fixins' and still have time to bake a pie for dessert.
