Eating Between the Holidays

So, we have one food holiday down, one to go, then will come drinking on New Year. After that comes resolutions to get rid of all the holiday food in time for summer. It is hard to get into the healthy mindset with all the wonderful smells in the air and beautiful candies around, but some of us are trying to fight the good fight.

By now, my house is finished with leftovers of all the wonderful dressing, gravy, turkey, pies, and did I mention my favorite? Dressing?! I love carbs… but I digress.

Aside from running in the crisp weather, I have been eating our baked salmon, eggs, salads, and subs from an unnamed sub shop, and am doing pretty well. That doesn’t mean I am not eating cookies, I just eat one after a particularly good day.

Anyhoo, I know I don't exactly look like a health buff, but I know I am not the only one out there worried about it, so for those of you who share in my struggles, here are a few of our recipes that taste good, but will help you stay on track. Happy eatings!

Pumpkin Muffins: Skip the icing and they aren't bad at all! http://drinkingchefs.com/recipes/easy-pumpkin-muffins

Salmon: My favorite! I make this once a week: http://drinkingchefs.com/recipes/baked-salmon-creamy-dill-sauce

Brussels Sprouts: Measure out the bacon, and this is amazingly tasty, but darn good for you! http://drinkingchefs.com/recipes/bacon-brussel-sprouts
