Baked Sweet Potato Fries with Creamy Dip

These sweet potato fries are not only super tasty, but super easy and not too bad for you!

  • 1 to 1½ pound sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ tbs salt, or to taste
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • pinch of cayenne pepper (Be careful, a little goes a long way!)
  • Dip
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbs lime juice
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley
  • paprika for garnish


For dip, mix all ingredients together and set aside.
Preheat oven to 425. Cut potatoes into long, thin strips and lay them in the pan. Pour olive oil over fries and toss them to coat all of them evenly with the oil. Spread them out evenly in the pan and sprinkle with salt, sugar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Bake for 30-40 minutes, turning halfway through until fries are crispy on the outside. Serve it with your delicious dip on the side, and possibly also ketchup if you don't know what your friends will like.
