Easy, Impress yo friends, homemade popcorn!
- Request Video
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Seasonings (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 1/2 tsp salt (divided)
- ½ tsp garlic powder (divided)
- ½ cup mixed blend cheese (divided)
In a large stew or stock pot heat olive oil on high heat for 2-3 minutes or until hot.
Add popcorn and cover with lid. It usually takes about 30 seconds for the corn to start popping. If it doesn’t pop after that, your oil wasn’t hot enough (im sure it wasn’t you, your stove probably had a headache). Listen to the corn pop and when it starts slowing down (like 4 or five pops a second instead of lots) turn down your heat. As soon as the popping stops turn off stove and remove pan from the eye(if you have an electric that is, gas stoves just turn off). If you are a fan of unseasoned popcorn then just put into a bowl and enjoy in front of your favorite blank wall or reality show. If you are a fan of spice, and maybe hate reality shows then read on…
