- 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup brandy (the better the quality, the less sad you will be after the holidays!)
- You will want to choose what to coat the outside of your brandy balls, so here are a few recommendations:
- 1/2 cup unsweetened coco powder
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup powder sugar
In a medium sized saucepan melt chocolate over medium high heat. Once chocolate is mostly melted add brandy and stir to combine. Once both are combined and smooth, take off heat and pour into another bowl. Place in fridge for at least 6 hours. (It won't hurt the mixture if you leave overnight).
Once chocolate has set take your 3 garnishes and put them on plates for easy rolling. You can use almost anything to roll the truffles in, coco powder, nuts and powder sugar is the most popular.
Take a spoon and dig into the chocolate like you are eating icing out of the can. Roll a ball out of the chocolate (in this case size doesn't matter...the bigger they are means that there is less of them, which could be a good thing!) and toss it into whatever garnish floats your boat!
