  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1½ cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Rice, cooked

Place your chicken into the bottom of your slow-cooker. In a large bowl, mix together all your other ingredients except the cornstarch, water, and sesame seeds. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Turn your slow cooker on high for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours or low for about 4-5 hours. At this point your chicken should be done, so pull it out and chop it up. In the meantime, pour your cornstarch into your water and stir it until, then add your cornstarch mixture into your sauce and stir. Turn it on high and leave it cooking for about 10 minutes as to thicken the sauce. At this point, add your chopped chicken into the sauce and toss together.
That is it! Serve it over cooked rice or noodles and enjoy!
